Our numbers in every athletic program were up from theprevious year. Our total number of participants in youth and adult sports was up again this year. We jumped by 25 youthbasketball teams alone in southern Beaufort County. Our centers numbers are always climbing. We were super excited to beawarded the LCCOG senior program funding. We opened six centers, and all are thriving.Parks and Recreation hosted one youth Ozone baseball tournament this year, with the Dixie Jr. Boys and Boys Statetournaments coming this year to Bluton, and The World Series next year to Beaufort. With the increase in participation numbers, seniors, summer camp, and maintenance responsibilities, we always havededicated sta. We continue to ght hard to ll our positions, but sta remains strong, dedicated, and gets the job done tomake sure all programs are successful.Beaufort County, SC | Budget Book 2024 Page 308'
