Airport operations are administered in accordance with strictfederal, state, and local regulations. The Airports Department currently employs twenty-one (21) employees, seventeen (17) of whom are full-time, and four (4) of whomare part-time. The department is building its sta? to correspond to the recent increase in operational intensity and airport oerings at both airports. Hilton Head Island isa Part 139 Certied Commercial Service Airport, providing nonstop service to an increasing number of cities via American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines.HXD also stas a 24-hour per day, 365 days per year Aircraft Rescue and Fire?ghting Team as part of our compliance with Part 139. Beaufort Executive Airportprovides aircraft fueling services as well as concierge-type services to local and visiting ight crews and passengers in our rst-class xed base operation.Performance MeasuresDue to the national pilot shortage, passenger trac at HXD will likely range from 250,000-350,000. The airport continues to produce an economic impact of over $400million annually. Fiscal Year 2024 will see the start of construction on the terminal project. ARW plans to serve between 8,500 and 12,000 visitors in FY2023 and to sellmore than 10,000 gallons of aviation fuel monthly.Budget Highlights and Special NotesTypical for the industry, both airports will remain in constant growth mode and continue to improve in passenger counts and revenue. It is important to note that theincrease in activity and the growth of the facilities require constant investment in the airports.
