The strategy dependson a multidisciplinary approach including, but not limited to, the application of public health insecticides and community outreach.Mosquito Control sta consists of 14 full-time, four (4) part-time, and two (2) college interns. The primary assets include eight (8) spraytrucks, eight (8) support trucks, four (4) utility vehicles, one (1) plane, and one (1) helicopter. The Clemson Department of PesticideRegulation(DPR)-certied personnel use state-of-the-art ground and aerial application equipment and technologies (including GPStracking). Mosquito Control receives technical support from Clemson DPR and the South Carolina Department of Health andEnvironmental Control (SCDHEC).Performance MeasuresReceived 989 service requests from the public in FY22Respond to 90% of public service requests within 3 daysSta have attended 10 training conferences and workshops in FY23Budget Highlights and Special Notes The FY24 budget proposal includes increases in education/travel to allow more sta to attend conferences and training opportunities,encouraging them to become more engaged in their careers.
