The project will employ three distinct phases: 1.) Increase access to naloxone to rst responders; 2.) toeducatetherespondersaswellasthecommunitywithregardstotheavailabilityofNaloxone.Itsfunction,andadministration protocol; 3.) conduct training to rst responders with regard to safe handling of dangerous substancessuch as fentanyl; and 4.) secure stang to conduct outreach, education, training, and implementation of CommunityOutreach Paramedic Education Teams comprised of rst responders and treatment professionals to conduct homevisits within 3 days of an overdose event to oer support, referrals, with the goal of securing recovery services toindividuals with opioid use disorders. The newly purchased Ambulances have all the recommendations of the Department of Transportation/GSA FederalSpecications for the Star-of-Life Ambulance regulations to provide the safest possible vehicle for the sta. HVACsystems on the new Ambulances will have a separate system for the cab and patient compartment.
