Property Records Search Instructions
Beaufort County, SC Register of Deeds

1. At the top of the homepage, click Offices.

2. Scroll down and select Register of Deeds.

3. On the right-hand side, click Property Records Search.

To Perform a Name or Document Search:

4. Click Browser View.

5. Choose a search method: Name, Book/Page, or Document Type.

   • For name searches: enter as Last Name, First Name.

6. On the left-hand side, click View to display or print the document.

To Access Older Handwritten Index Books:

• Grantor/Grantee or Mortgagor/Mortgagee Index:

  1. Use the Document Type search option.

  2. Click the + next to All to expand the list.

  3. Scroll down and select INDEX.

  4. Click Search.

• Old Plat Index:

  1. Use the Name search option.

  2. Type OLD PLAT and click Search.
