PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

 

The Board of Voter Registration and Elections of Beaufort County will hold a public hearing to hear from two citizens challenging the domicile of one hundred (100) registered voters in Beaufort County during the 2020 general election. The hearing will take place on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., Bluffton Recreation Center Gymnasium, 61A Ulmer Road, Bluffton, SC 29910.

 

This hearing is open to the public.

No, S.C. does not have registration by party.  The Statewide Primaries are open to all registered S.C. voters.  Poll managers will ask voters, “In which party’s primary do you wish to vote today?”
No. State law prohibits voters from voting in more than one party’s primary on the same day.
No.  The runoff is a continuation of the primary.  If you voted in a party’s primary, you can vote only in the runoff of the same party.
Yes.  You have the option of voting in either party’s runoff.
