There will be a temporary road closure on Paukie Island Road Causeway overnight on Thursday July 16. The road will be closed to vehicle traffic from 9 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday morning, weather dependent. This closure will allow the contractor to set the center section of the new culvert. If necessary to complete work, a second road closure will begin on Sunday night from 9 p.m. until Monday morning at 6 a.m.

We understand that this will cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. Beaufort County is coordinating with our contractor and emergency responders to ensure there is no disruption of service.

The contractor will be setting the first two sections of the culvert this week during the day. Traffic may be delayed for up to 15 minutes during the installation process.
