From the 2040 Comprehensive Plan: Beaufort County has created a vision and the
regulatory tools it needs to balance economic development, resource protection, and growth in a form that creates quality places. With the Comprehensive Plan, Greenprint Plan, transect based zoning, cultural overlays, and various small area and corridor plans, it has a healthy toolbox from which to guide the growth of its built
environment."
