On behalf of the Point-In-Time (PIT) Count organizers and community leads, Beaufort County would like to express its thanks for all the work, sacrifices, and dedication put into this year’s Point-In-Time Count. The willingness of multiple agencies and volunteers to contribute their time and energy speaks volumes to the spirit of collaboration that we are fortunate to have in Beaufort County.

Individuals that volunteers engaged with were met with warm food, conversation, a safe place to spend the night, and connections to resources for their time.

“We are deeply grateful to our many partner organizations and agencies that supported this effort, including the United Way of the Lowcountry (for its staff, deployment of resources, and mobile shower unit), Beaufort County Nexus Care, Calvary Chapel Lowcountry, Deep Well Project, Good Neighbor Free Medical Clinic, Lowcountry Outreach, New Destiny Ministry, SC Department of Public Health, SC Works, Sea Pines Resort (for its generous donations), St. Peter’s Catholic Church, and Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH)," emphasized Ben Boswell, Beaufort County Director of Human Services.

"We also extend our appreciation to the municipalities and their respective law enforcement agencies, as well as the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, for their coordination, support, and partnership throughout these efforts. Finally we want to recognize Sea Island Presbyterian Church and Christ Lutheran Church, along with their respective congregations, leaders, volunteers, and donors for opening their doors. Together, these partners continue to stand alongside our community’s most vulnerable residents with compassion, consistency, and care."
