Friday, June 6 is National Naloxone Awareness Day. 

In response to opioid poisonings in the Bluffton area, Nexus Care of Beaufort County, in partnership with the Beaufort County Library, is hosting a naloxone distribution event Friday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Bluffton Branch Library (map).

The training takes five minutes and is free of charge. Once trained, you will receive a box of Naloxone, a life-saving nasal spray that can temporarily reverse the effects of opioids in the body during a crisis.
