Beaufort County’s Adopt-a-Highway Coordinator is seeking volunteer groups, or individuals, communities and businesses to join the County's successful and growing Adopt-A-Highway program.

Volunteers are provided with all the necessary supplies, including grabbers, trash bags, gloves, safety vests, and road signs. All volunteers need to bring is enthusiasm and a desire to help keep our roadsides and waterways clean and beautiful.

According to the Adopt-A-Highway 2024 Newsletter, over 2,357 volunteers spent almost 3,000 hours cleaning up 56,749 pounds of litter from our roadways, boat landings, rivers, beaches and marshes.
