Project Update: Bluffton Parkway Overnight Resurfacing Extended Through May 30 and May 31

UPDATE:

Bluffton Parkway at Simmonsville intersection will be closed
each night, Thursday, May 29 and Friday, May 30,
beginning at 9 p.m. until 6 a.m.
Please approach with caution and plan an alternate route.
If traveling Eastbound, toward Hilton Head you will exit onto Simmonsville Road, travel South to May River.

If traveling Westbound, away from Hilton Head, you will exit onto Simmonsville Road and travel North to HWY 278.  
Traffic on Simmonsville Road approaching Bluffton Parkway will only be allowed to make right hand turns.
 

 

 

Beaufort County is continuing overnight road repairs on Bluffton Parkway from Buck Island Road to Red Cedar, Thursday, May 29 and Friday, May 30, weather permitting.

Roadwork will focus on Simmonsville Road and Bluffton Parkway.

Nighttime lane closures will begin at 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

During construction, lane closures, road cones and signage will be visible to direct traffic safely. Motorists and residents should be prepared for lane closures and are encouraged to use extra caution when approaching work zones.

The resurfacing operations are funded by the Beaufort County Transportation Committee.
