Beaufort County began overnight road repairs on Bluffton Parkway from Buck Island Road to Red Cedar last week. Work is on schedule and moving toward on time completion.

The County’s contractor, Blythe Construction, has completed milling and placement of intermediate course asphalt in the innermost eastbound lane. Paving was completed Friday morning and will resume Sunday evening, April 6 and continue through the morning of Friday, April 11.

The contractor will then need to return to complete the asphalt surface course. The resurfacing operations are funded by the Beaufort County Transportation Committee.

During construction, lane closures, road cones and signage will be visible to direct traffic safely. 

Motorists and residents should be prepared for lane closures and are encouraged to use extra caution when approaching work zones.
