Motorists are asked to travel with caution when passing volunteers

In recognition of Earth Day 2025, Beaufort County employees are again celebrating and volunteering to do their part in helping keep Beaufort County beautiful.

Tomorrow, Friday, April 25, groups of County employees will be on some heavily traveled roadways around the County picking up trash and debris.

County volunteers will be working in the following areas:

  • Widgeon Point
  • Lemon Island
  • Burton Hill Road
  • Lady's Island Drive near Crystal Lake Park
  • Argent Boulevard
  • Sea Island Parkway to Land's End Road
  • Highway 170 from Callawassie to Oldfield
  • Trask Parkway from Shanklin to Grays Hill

Motorists and residents are asked to be aware and use caution when passing volunteers working along roadways and in public areas. Volunteers will be wearing reflective vests and motorists are asked to slow down when traveling through work areas.

The County-wide clean up will be 8 a.m. until 12 noon.
