The Beaufort County Community Services and Land Use Committee and County Council met Monday, January 8. Below are highlights from each meeting.

The Community Services and Land Use Committee highlights and actions:

  • Recommend Approval of a Resolution to adopt the Passive Parks Department Business Use Policy, Application, and Fee Schedule
  • Request for Approval of Camp St. Mary's Park Conceptual Plan
  • Recommend Approval of a Resolution Authorizing the Interim County Administrator to Execute the Necessary Documents and to Provide Funding for the Purchase of Tax Map Serial Number TMS R600-021-000-0078-0000, Also Known As Barrell Landing Orr
  • Recommend Approval to Undertake Due Diligence and Discussions/Negotiations for the Proposed Fee Simple Purchase of Real Property Known as Rawstrom Road
  • Recommend Approval to Undertake Due Diligence and Discussions/Negotiations for the Proposed Fee Simple Purchased or Proposed Development Rights of Real Property Known as Seaside Road

 

The Beaufort County Council held their regular meeting beginning at 5 p.m., Monday evening.

Below are some highlights from that meeting:

  • First Reading of an Ordinance Authorizing the Interim County Administrator to Execute the Necessary Documents and to Provide Funding for the Purchase of Tax Map Serial NumberTMS R600-036-000-0013-0000, also Known as 76 May River Road
  • Public Hearing and First Reading of an Ordinance for a Zoning Map Amendment/Rezoning Request for 57 Acres  R200 004 000 0301 0000, R200 004 000 0302 0000, R200 004 000 0300 0000), Located at 1, 2, 3, 4 Bennett Point Drive from Planned Unit Development to T2 Rural 
  • Public Hearing and Second Reading of an Ordinance Declaring Certain Real Property Located at 2 Mullet Street as Surplus Property, Authorizing the Interim County Administrator to Execute Any Documents Necessary for the Sale of the Real Property, and Allocating Proceeds from the Sale of Real Property
  • Public Hearing and Second Reading of an Ordinance Conveying an Easement Located on a Portion of Real Property at 55 Gardner Drive to the Town of Hilton Head Island
  • Several Hearings and Readings of Ordinances Allowing the Interim County Administrator to Enter into Lease Agreements for Real Property Located at 39 Airport Circle

The next regular County Council meeting will be Monday, January 22, at 5 p.m.

The next regular Community Services and Land Use Committee meeting will be Monday, February 12, at 3 p.m.
