The Beaufort County Community Services and Land Use Committee met Monday and voted on a variety of items. Below are some highlights:

  • Presentation by Coastal Community Development Corporation Workforce Housing Funding
  • Overview and background of the Lady's Island Village Center Master Plan
  • Approval of resolution to enter MOU with Town of Port Royal for maintenance on Cherry Hill Park property

The Beaufort County Council held their regular meeting beginning at 5 p.m., Monday evening.

Below are some highlights from that meeting:

  • Third reading of ordinance to purchase 34 Ulmer Road property
  • Third reading of an ordinance authorizing Hilton Head No. 1 Public Service District to issue bonds not exceeding $23,000,000
  • First reading of ordinance to accept right of way on Dianah's Drive
  • First reading of ordinance to enter lease agreement for 30 Hunter Road
  • First reading of ordinance to enter lease agreement for 39 Airport Circle with High Tide Aviation Scenic Tours
  • Approval of resolution for MOU with Town of Hilton Head for St. James Baptist Church Relocation Project
  • Approval of resolution for MOA to explore feasibility of co-locating Municipal Fire Service and County EMS

Consent agenda:

  • Approval of contract award for Spanish Moss Trail Port Royal Extension
  • Approval of contract award for Port Royal Public Library Construction Services
  • Approval to purchase 2023 Peterbilt 547 Vacuum Truck

The next Community Services and Land Use Committee meeting will be Monday, November 13, at 3 p.m.

The next regular County Council meeting will be Monday, October 23, at 5 p.m.
