The Beaufort County Community Services and Land Use Committee met Monday and voted on a variety of items. Below are some highlights:

• Overview and background of the Lady's Island Village Center Master Plan
• Recommend approval of an ordinance rezoning 71.54 acres at 1691 Okatie Highway
• Recommend approval of an ordinance adopting amendments to trash and litter control code of ordinances

Actions out of Executive Session:

• Discussions of negotiations to proposed contract arrangements for Beaufort Jasper Economic Opportunity Commission
• Discussion of negotiations to proposed contract arrangements for Daufuskie Island Ferry Service

The Beaufort County Council held their regular meeting beginning at 5 p.m., Monday evening.

Below are some highlights from that meeting:

• Approve time sensitive item from previous Community Services and Land Use Committee: Daufuskie Island Ferry Service Contract
• Public hearing and second reading establishing a Green Space Advisory Committee program and application process
• Public hearing and approval of resolution to purchase Cherry Hill Oak property
• First reading of an ordinance authorizing Hilton Head No. 1 Public Service District to issue bonds not exceeding $23,000,000
• Approve resolution for Hilton Head Island Airport Cost Recovery Model and revised airline rates
• Approve resolution to accept SC Aeronautics Commission grant for airport terminal improvements
