County Council Chairman Joe Passiment (District 5), Council Member Anna Maria Tabernik (District 6) and Council Member Logan Cunningham (District 7) are hosting a joint public forum on 2023 Property Re-Assessment.

The meeting will be held Tuesday, June 6 at 6 p.m., in the large meeting room at Beaufort County Library Bluffton Branch, 120 Palmetto Way (map).

The public is invited to attend.

Beaufort County Assessor Ebony Sanders will be the guest speaker.

"The County undergoes property reassessment every five years – and so here we are!  Reassessment of property values generates many questions from residents, often causing confusion," said Council Member Tabernik. "We are offering this session to help residents understand what this process means and how it might impact their own taxes."

This public forum will provide an opportunity for residents to learn about the property re-assessment process and how it affects their property taxes. The re-assessment of property values is necessary to ensure that the tax burden is distributed fairly across the County.

Council Chairman Passiment and Council Members Tabernik and Cunningham will be joined by Beaufort County Assessor Ebony Sanders who will explain the ins and outs of property re-assessment and answer any questions that residents may have.
