Beaufort County Lady's Island Corridor Traffic Improvements Virtual Public Meetings Ongoing

Beaufort County has two virtual public meetings in progress for the Lady’s Island Corridor Traffic Improvements as approved in the 2018 One Cent Sales Tax Referendum.

The two meetings are:

Lady’s Island Access Roads Virtual Public Meeting

This virtual public meeting is being extended one week from February 14 to February 21.  The meeting includes the projects listed below:

  • Airport Frontage Rd
  • Beaufort High School Access Realignment
  • Hazel Farm Rd/Gay Dr
  • Lady’s Island Middle School Access Rd
  • Mayfair Ct Ext
  • Meadowbrook Dr Ext
  • Sunset Blvd/Miller Dr W

US 21 Corridor Improvements Virtual Public Meeting

The County is hosting this virtual public meeting from February 8 through March 7. This meeting reintroduces the corridor project which includes improvements to:

  • US 21 Bus/US 21 (Sea Island Pkwy)
  • US 21 (Lady’s Island Dr)
  • SC 802 (Sam’s Point Rd)

A virtual townhall for the US 21 corridor improvements will also be held Thursday, February 18, at 6 p.m. The meeting will be streamed live on The County Channel, Comcast Channel 2, Hargray Channels 9 and 113, and Spectrum Channel 1304, or by a link on the website. Following the meeting, a recording will be posted on the virtual public meeting site.

The virtual townhall will include a brief presentation and question and answer session.  Registration is required by February 16, for those members of the public wanting to make a comment during the question and answer session by completing the form provided on the website.

Submit your comments on the Lady’s Island Access Roads by February 21 and the US 21 Corridor Project by March 7.
