Beaufort County Leaders to Share Updates Related to COVID-19 in Teleconference Wednesday, April 8; The County Channel Will Air Audio

Community leaders will offer updates on the effects of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the Lowcountry during a teleconference Wednesday, April 8, at 9:15 a.m.

Audio from the teleconference, which is sponsored by the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, will be carried live on Beaufort County’s The County Channel.

Expected to speak are:

  • Tom Sullivan, vice president of Small Business Policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce
    • William Furman, SBA South Carolina Office senior area manager
    • Dr. Michael Kacka, DHEC
    • Duane Parrish, SCPRT
    • Hilton Head Island Mayor John McCann and Town Manager Steve Riley
    • Bluffton Mayor Lisa Sulka and Town Manager Marc Orlando
    • Beaufort County Council Chairman Joe Passiment
    • Beaufort County School District Superintendent Frank Rodriguez
    • Jeremy Clark, Hilton Head Regional Healthcare CEO
    • Greg Kelly, chairman of Savannah Airport Commission
    • Jon Rembold, director of Beaufort County Airports
    • Chris McCorkendale, vice president of Hargray and chairman of the chamber board
In addition to airing on The County Channel, the teleconference will be live-streamed on the County’s Facebook page, as well as broadcast on Comcast channel 2, Hargray channels 9 and 113, and Spectrum channel 1304. This will be an audio presentation without video.
