Beaufort County Government has partnered with the United Way of the Lowcountry to help ensure that our community has a 211 system. Dial 2-1-1 for information concerning Hurricane Dorian and referrals for non-emergency assistance. 211 is always in effect throughout the year and will continue to be operational and take calls during the storm. You can also access this system by dialing 1-866-892-9211.

Please direct inquiries regarding power outages and other utility interruptions or concerns to the appropriate utility and keep in mind that utility companies have information posted on their websites and social media pages, which include but are not limited to:

- Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority: www.bjwsa.org
- Dominion Energy (formerly SCE&G): www.sceg.com
- Hilton Head Public Services District: www.hhpsd.com
- Palmetto Electric: www.palmetto.coop

Individuals with emergencies should dial 911.

Beaufort County remains under an evacuation order. Avoid traveling on local roadways, especially bridges and causeways. Conditions in some areas may still be unsafe due to hazards such as water accumulation, debris, downed trees, and power lines.

A curfew is currently in effect countywide from 10 p.m. today, Thursday, September 5 to 6 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, September 6.

Continue to monitor weather conditions with only official sources of information:
