Senior IT Support Technician
SENIOR IT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN/Information Technology: Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains end-user hardware and/or other devices used by the agency. Supervises the installation, upgrading and daily maintenance and support of specific software applications. Works in conjunction with other IT teams and/or vendors on server/cloud management and provides preventive action recommendations for end-user computing device issues. Analyzes County IT operation needs and works in conjunction with additional IT support teams to assess the technical feasibility and solutions for the future. Responsible for hardware and device inventory for the County; assures adequate supply replacements and manages rotation of old to new devices; provides reports to management, and other entities requesting information. Assists in creating and executing procedures that ensure that all systems, products, and services meet IT security standards, end-user requirements, and can lead to gains inefficiency and cost savings for the agency. May serve as a subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures. May train and/or develop materials for end-user training supported software applications; may be responsible for the development of technical training modules for County departments. Responsible for the management, distribution, and troubleshooting for County devices such as laptops, desktops, County issued cell phones, printers, etc.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• CompTIA A+ certification and a combination of education (Information Technology, or closely related field) and experience and/or training in Computer Support (such as a Computer Technician or Computer Support Specialist) is required as follows:
o A high school diploma and experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems.
o An associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience.

SALARY: $47,715 to $61,152 / DOQ
