County Council, Solid Waste and Recycle
In celebration of Earth Day, again this year Beaufort County employees will be out along several roadways cleaning up litter.
Volunteers will be stationed:
Other municipalities and departments within Beaufort County will also be completing cleanups near their respective office locations.
BCTV will be streaming the ceremony after the clean up is completed. BCTV can be found on cable channels Sparklight (formerly Hargray) - channel 9 and 417; Comcast - channel 2; Spectrum - channel 1304. BCTV also streams live on www.BeaufortCounty.tv and through the FREE BCTV APP available on ROKU, Apple TV, Android TV and Amazon Fire.
Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through the areas as Earth Day Clean Up volunteers will be very close to road with no sidewalk access. Volunteers will be visible with safety vests and will take every precaution to avoid traffic.
County Adopt-A-Highway groups are out all year long. For more details and great work the County's volunteer Adopt-A-Highway groups do throughout the year, read the newsletter here.
